BGG Hard Block support
For help, email terwox@gmail.com. Include your Chrome version, the extension version, and the BoardGameGeek page where the problem occurred. Do not send passwords, cookies, authorization values, or other account secrets.
Quick checks
- Confirm you completed the extension’s one-time privacy setup.
- Confirm you are signed in to BoardGameGeek.
- Supported discussion tabs refresh automatically after consent or an extension update. If a tab still appears stale, reload it once manually.
- Open the extension popup to check whether the Hidden Users list synchronized.
- If linking is unwanted, open the extension’s Options page and turn off Also block hidden users from subscriptions.
- After updating to version 0.4.0, approve Chrome’s request for access to
api.geekdo.comif prompted. The extension uses that host only for the disclosed BoardGameGeek/Geekdo API requests.
Manage your lists on BoardGameGeek
Turning off subscription linking stops future additions. It does not remove user subscription blocks already stored by BoardGameGeek; manage those through the native editor above.
Remove local data
Uninstalling BGG Hard Block removes its Chrome extension storage, including the profile cache. Version 0.4.0 removes the obsolete cache that earlier versions placed in BGG site storage. Uninstalling does not add, remove, or otherwise modify Hidden Users or subscription blocks stored in the BoardGameGeek account.
